Vikings rookie quarterback Jaren Hall leaves first start with concussion The worst part is Jaren Hall was kind of cooking. After struggling to find a rhythm on his first drive, the rookie quarterback had the Vikings in position to score a touchdown on his second drive. He completed a quick pass to tight end Johnny Mundt for 18 yards, then a deep pass to running back Alexander Mattison for 47 yards. That put the Vikings in the low red zone where Hall tried to scramble for a touchdown. He got hit hard near the goal line, slammed the back of his head into the turf, and had to be helped off the field. After briefly getting checked out in the medical tent, Hall was quickly ruled out with a concussion. He finished the game 5 for 6 passing for 78 yards to go along with 11 yards rushing. In place of Hall, the Vikings turned to Josh Dobbs, the journey quarterback they acquired at the trade deadline this past week.Related ArticlesMinnesota Vikings | Vikings left tackle Christian Darrisaw ruled out for game against Falcons Minnesota Vikings | ...

Chargers’ Ekeler and Jets’ Hall are the dynamic backfield engines who power their offenses FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — Austin Ekeler’s best decision last Sunday might have come off the field. The Los Angeles Chargers running back — an avid fan of fantasy football — plugged a productive playmaker into one of his lineups.Himself. “When you have yourself in fantasy, you never don’t start yourself,” Ekeler said with a big smile. “I always start myself in fantasy if I have myself.”Good call.Ekeler had 123 yards from scrimmage, including seven receptions for 94 yards, in the Chargers’ 30-13 rout of the Chicago Bears. “Probably a pretty good day,” he said of the fantasy implications. No doubt. And after missing three games with a high ankle sprain, the star running back is rounding back into his dynamic form.“It starts with their running game,” said New York Jets defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, whose unit will be tasked with defending Ekeler on Monday night. “I know that sounds funny because when you talk about the Chargers, you talk about Justin Herbert, you talk ab...

Israeli media reported that troops are expected to enter Gaza City within 48 hours. But the “new collapse in connectivity” across Gaza reported by internet access advocacy group NetBlocks.org and confirmed by Palestinian telecom company Paltel made it even more complicated to share details on the new stage of the military offensive.“We have lost communication with the vast majority of the UNRWA team members,” U.N. Palestinian refugee agency spokesperson Juliette Touma told The Associated Press. The first Gaza outage lasted 36 hours and the second one for a few hours, complicat...
