Meta exposes massive plot to divide Americans

Published Sat, 22 Feb 2025 13:49:34 GMT

Someone in China created thousands of fake social media accounts designed to appear to be from Americans and used them to spread polarizing political content in an apparent effort to divide the U.S. ahead of next year's elections, Meta said Thursday. The network of nearly 4,800 fake accounts was attempting to build an audience when it was identified and eliminated by the tech company, which owns Facebook and Instagram. The interconnected accounts pulled content from both liberal and conservative sources, an indication that its goal was not to support one side or the other but to exaggerate partisan divisions...

Missing Persons Find the Whisky

Missing Persons Find the Whisky: Dale Bozzio has kept the Missing Persons flag flying, and they can often be found on those ‘80s multi-band bills that they have at the Greek every year.Did you know, though, that Missing released a new album this year, called Hollywood Lie? Cleopatra Records describes it as, “The visionary new studio album from ’80s new wave legends, Missing Persons, that revives the band’s vintage sound and extraordinarily catchy songwriting! Featuring all original material themed around the familiar story of a young starlet caught up in the glitz, glamor and empty promises of Hollywood, this is without a doubt the best album the band has done since their ’80s heyday!” Intriguing!Meanwhile, Pinktastic Plastixx is also on the bill. “Pinktastic Plastixx formed roughly in August of 2022 and I actually had to look back at our first band rehearsal pic to figure this out,” Hollywood Pink Lady Kitten Kay Sera told us in February. “I had the idea… but it t...
